My husband and I were very excited when we signed up for this cruise. We weren’t exactly sure what went on during these cruises since there was little to be found on the subject. The information I found, I learned that many attendees are repeat guests. Casual Conversations with John were held in the International Lounge from 8 to 9 AM. We skipped this event as we had an early ship tour to get to.
Even know Carnival Freedom is an older ship (2006), it’s in good condition. Since we’ve been on Carnival Conquest twice, the layout was easy for us to navigate. Maybe the ship being close to capacity was just too much for both our room steward and dining teams. Needless to say, neither team got any extra tips. I have trust issues and it’s a good thing that I brought the paperwork as our check in agent did not know anything about the app.
An example of this, John mentioned on his Facebook page a man who bumped into him and wanted to take a photo with him. John happily posed for an obscene number of photos throughout the week, but one was just an idiot. The reality of cruising with John Heald is that there simply were too many guests. I am happy to say that my husband and I both got to meet John Heald. The first morning, early as we were heading for the buffet, we stopped by the Coffee stand, and who else was waiting for their early morning shot of caffeine, but Mr. Heald.

At this final event, you had the opportunity to have your picture taken with John on your smartphone or camera. Later in the afternoon John, along with Cruise Director, James Love, hosted the Afternoon Show from 2 to 245 PM. Later, from 4-5 PM the Farewell Show was held in the Victoria Show Lounge. Upon embarking on Carnival Freedom and going to our room, we found our daily schedule of events in our stateroom.
